From illustration, painting and printmaking to photography and writing, Zach has a diverse and extensive skillset to lead project teams in art direction, design and project management. Zach designs award-winning brands by advising clients on design development and strategy to ensure an iconic final product. Versatile and organized, Zach is uniquely skilled at business development, preparing proposals, presenting work and conducting stakeholder workshops to bolster current and new relationships. With a keen eye for composition, Zach designs through a different, highly creative lens to define style, provoke thought and solve problems in unique, inventive ways. He brings a holistic vision to designing and managing huge, multi-faceted projects that are successful and impactful on a local, national & global scale.
Zach has won multiple distinctions for his design talents from Communication Arts, HOW International Design Awards and Graphis. While earning a Bachelor of Arts—he double-majored in Studio Art, with an emphasis in painting, and French Literature—from the University of Puget Sound, Zach, who is fluent in French, studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris and the Académie de la Croix-Nivert in Paris, France.
Also an accomplished artist, Zach has work displayed in the permanent print collection at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in Wuhan, China, and works of his have been featured in Art Students League of Denver exhibitions.
Zach is a Senior Designer at Ashton Design, as well as a member of the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA), Colorado chapter, and Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD). He is currently serving as SEGD Denver Chapter Chair and in 2020 was the recipient of the SEGD Chapter Chair Award, which recognizes outstanding volunteer efforts while significantly contributing to the direction, growth, strength and excellence of SEGD Chapters both locally and throughout the organization.
